Did you change config.gcc ?
It contains the following line:
tm_file="${tm_file} i386/unix.h i386/att.h dbxelf.h elfos.h svr4.h
i386/sysv4.h sol2.h"

Which means i386/att.h should be included and therefor define ASM_SHORT.

yes, I changed config.gcc, to workaround PR33100.
I want to build gcc 4.3.2 on solaris 10.
