Gerald, we have problems with the third-party libraries (GMP,MPFR,MPC) on the
SPARC, newer versions are miscompiled by earlier versions of GCC.  So I'd
suggest to stick to the minimal versions listed in:
  http://gcc.gnu.org/install/prerequisites.html
