This removes the <Ftrad>, <Fvsx>, and <Fs> mode attributes, and creates
new <sd> and <s> mode attributes instead.  <sd> is either "s" or "d",
depending on whether the mode is single-precision or double-precision
floating point; and <s> is either "s" or nothing.
