In time for GDAL's 18th birthday on Monday the 17th? ;)Or added
easter egg, to celebrate it, in the 2.1.2 release? :)))

It's a great accomplishment, share the news.

Firs step would be to enable it by default in trunk and monitor that things go
well w.r.t. the CI setups displayed at https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal

Normally we aren't supposed to add new functionnality in micro releases, but
we can probably make some exception here as it doesn't cause backward
incompatible changes or ABI breakage. So if things go smoothly in trunk and
nobody objects, I guess you can enable it in 2.1 too.

Hi,

What do you think about enabling GNM (network model) build by default in
2.1.2?

GNM using in QNetwork plugin in QGIS and via command line utilities but
not available by default and only small number users can get it.

I think if we enable GNM by default we can get more user feedback.

Best regards,
Dmitry

QGIS users will probably appreciate https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/6672
a lot.
