 It is your work.  You can release it under any license you want.

 Si2 is not GPL friendly, not even open-source friendly.  They 
 have no control over software that you write, unless you are 
 funded by them.  Some of us would appreciate it a lot of you DO 
 release it GPL, to make a point.  GPL-3 is even better.

Hi,

  I obtained the lefdefref.pdf from si2 website  half completed the
parser using ANTLR.

Are there any license constraints from cadence if I want to release my
parser as GPL? I actually read through the license at the starting of
the document. But as I am not a lawyer, could not make a decision.

I know that geda uses a LEF parser. So it should be ok for me to release
this parser as GPL. But I want to be sure before I do so.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

gEDA-user: Autochar by Robert Yu is available

I happened to have a copy of autochar 1.5.6 as developed by Robert Yu
(www.cadfarm.com). The site as well as the tools is not available for
download from that site. I could not contact Robert even after multiple
attempts.

I have uploaded autochar-1.5.6 to http://code.google.com/p/autochar/

I am planning to maintain it  take it forward. Any help is appreciated.
