gEDA-user: Hierarchy Refdes and Component Values
I have a schematic with seven instances of a schematic, a hierarchy. I want to give different values to the resistors in each of the sub-circuits. For example, I have S1 thru S7. In S1, I want R1=100, in S2, I want R1=1k, etc. Is this possible with hierarchy? How do the components in the hierarchy get assigned refdes values? tomdean ___ geda-user mailing list geda-user@moria.seul.org http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user

gEDA-user: Spice Example RF_Amp
I downloaded geda-examples-1.4.3.tar.gz, containing the RF_Amp example. I built ngspice 19 from sources without error. I get a max data size warning on any simulation, but, see no strange actions when simulating other circuits. I tried a dozen emitter followers with different models and the results were about what I expected. I wanted to use gEDA to generate models using hierarchy. Re: gEDA-user: Gnetlist -g PCB
Thanks for the answers. I ignored the warning, referencing it for completeness. However, you explained the warning, not the problem I have going from gschem to pcb. I invoked the commands used by gsch2pcb manually, checking for where the odd pin numbers were inserted. gnetlist -g PCB inserts pins numbered n1, n2, n+, and n-. Pcb does not like these pin numbers, and, refuses to include the respective components in the ratsnest. This is the problem I have, not the warning! When I load the .net file into pcb, I get errors about these pin numbers. If I edit the .net file, changing pin numbers: from to n1 1 n2 2 n+ 1 n- 2 pcb included the respective components in the ratsnest and autoroute completes Ok. tomdean ___ geda-user mailing list geda-user@moria.seul.org http://www.seul.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/geda-user
