Ah.  I use lm-sensors for that.  Also tells me when I have a fan go bad.

Hardware issues.  I took the machine apart and vacuumed the dust out
of all the fans, so it's happy again.  That machine stays up for so
long, it occasionally fills up with dust enough to overheat!
