Re: gEDA-user: Can i use geda for electric indoor installation?

2011-05-04 Thread Jonas Stein

Recently, I know about this app:
 http://qelectrotech.org/

Thank you for this hint. I just installed it. Its still
very young, but usable for small projects.

Very nice, i guess it has the potential to be a killerapplication
in a few years.

Hi Bert,

The screenshot looks like a ladderdiagram for a plc.
There happens to be a app for this at:
 http://sourceforge.net/projects/classicladder/

I've made some ladder diagram symbols for use with gschem:
 https://github.com/bert/gschem-symbols/tree/master/ladder

Thank you for sharing our symbols,

I'm not test it yet, but appears to do PLC ladders diagrams. It has
several input/outputs symbols for these type.

(If you use Debian, is at your apt-hand, I don't know other dists)

Kind regards,

Tell us if a good app for do this work, I'm interesting too.

Best regards.

One part you will be missing is routing of the true wires.

So if your expecting it to make a list of the wires lengths for
you you would need to integrate it into a 3D mechanical cad
package too.

Yes, I'd think so. You will need to make a library of symbols. Or is
there such a library for gschem already?

Has anyone experience with that? Do you have some screenshots of

Sure, you can attach attributes to wires.
