Please excuse my ignorance:
How is this related to gnetman and the problem of file collision
(identical files in geda-symbols and gnetman package)?

Are you the author of gnetman?

Gnetman was available years ago from

DESCRIPTION=gnetman - A GNU Netlist Manipulation Library
SRC_URI=http://www.viasic.com/opensource/gnetman-${MY_PV}.tar.gz;
HOMEPAGE=http://www.viasic.com/opensource/;

But that page seems to be death. We still have the gnetman archive on
Gentoo mirros available, so user can install gnetman still and may see
file collisions.

What is your suggestion to solve the collision issue?

Not sure if anyone here is or isn't using it.

2009-05-27 Thread Anthony Shanks
No not the developer for gnetman but as far as I understood it's not
longer being developed nor do I know anything but the cell collision
issue. I am developing an advanced hierarchical netlister (spnet) as a
replacement/alternative to gnetlist and will be actively developing
it.

Use spNet

http://spnet.code-fusion.net

Website is down right now because I just installed new hardware on my
server and I haven't got everything up 100% yet but if anybody has a
copy on it on the list maybe they can attach it. If not, I will make
sure the website is back up tonight after I get home from work. I will
re-post when it's up again for download.
