That looks much better, thanks.

I reorganized the image links so that a click on the preview brings you
directly to the full size version. In addition, I added captions to the
images with the advice to click for full size. Most browsers will render
this as pop-up help.

I consider myself smarter than the usual user, and I had trouble with
the concept of "320x240 image which shows a hand cursor (click me
please to zoom in)" which simply opens yet another page with same
size image, and a caption below that says "full size image" that
somehow opens a DIFFERENT sized image.
Even in the other wiki, clicking on an image takes to image page where
its zoomed in.

All the thumbnails are actually 320x240 and there is a link right below
each one for a full sized pic.

Fine pictures!

But do we really need the term "in action" five times?
I would suggest to delete that, sound silly for me.

Maybe we should mention the version of the program, and we should
mention that the picture for PCB is the development version with OpenGL
enabled. Otherwise people may be disappointed when they install an older
stable release from their package manager.

And maybe a picture from Anthony's topological router may be fine?

Best regards

Nice to know. I gave up on gschem previews because of most lines just
vanished.

Good to know. I stopped putting PNGs of gschem schematics on our internal
wiki website because nets rendered invisible in preview mode.

Tips for that scalling.. I've foudn that using gimp with the "Sinc
(Lanczos3)" interpolation seems to give good results on images with fine
line detail.

gEDA-user: Screenshots on www.gpleda.org/

2010-03-08 Thread Kai-Martin Knaak
Moin.

The screenshot page on gpleda.org is a bit outdated
http://www.gpleda.org/screenshots.html

* screen fonts are much nicer now

* there is no screenshot of a pcb layout

* xgsch2pcb is missing

* gerbv is not mentioned

* There is no screenshot of gschem with light background.

I'd volunteer to provide an update. However, this page is not part of the
wiki. How would I go about to contribute?
