Re: [gem5-dev] testing/regression update ETA?

2015-01-10 Thread Andreas Hansson via gem5-dev
Hi Mike,

If you want to do a final check for a patch then ultimately you should run
all regressions:

util/regress -j all

This will build debug, opt and fast, and run all regressions for all ISAs
and Ruby protocols.

Can you provide any further guidance?
What should be regressed? Just SE and FS across the ISAs?

Is there an ETA for that?

I would like to automate testing and regressions across a bunch of ISAs.
I have available compute resources, but need some handholding on the
existing infrastructure.

I would like to get to the point that we can test each proposed
modification.

The current setup can be used through the script: util/regress.

[gem5-dev] testing/regression update ETA?

2015-01-06 Thread mike upton via gem5-dev
Hi,

I believe Ali had a proposal for an update to the testing/regression
infrastructure.

Is there an ETA for that?

I would like to automate testing and regressions across a bunch of ISAs.
I have available compute resources, but need some handholding on the
existing infrastructure.

I would like to get to the point that we can test each proposed
modification.
