Re: [brlug-general] Import mail into Exchange..
Haha. Well, we have a need to migrate 4000+ mailboxes from a Courier-IMAP box to Exchange. Not our idea of course. ;) -- Dustin Puryear President and Sr. Consultant Puryear Information Technology, LLC 225-706-8414 x112 http://www.puryear-it.com Author, "Best Practices for Managing Linux and UNIX Servers" http://www.puryear-it.com/pubs/linux-unix-best-practices/ Shannon Roddy wrote: > On Wed, Mar 5, 2008 at 12:46 PM, Dustin Puryear <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> I want to import mail into a user's Exchange mailbox without needing to >> have their password. Re: [brlug-general] Import mail into Exchange..
Another method, if you have a tool to do direct imap->exchange, would be to copy all the maildirs onto another server where you have the freedom to create user accounts with whatever password you want. Or, some IMAP servers let you log in with an administrative account that gives access to all the user folders. I think the IMAP command for this is "authuser" Dustin Puryear wrote: > I want to import mail into a user's Exchange mailbox without needing to > have their password. It costs $50 but that's not too bad: http://www.aid4mail.com/#formats Ronnie Gilkey [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Puryear Information Technology, LLC Baton Rouge, LA * 225-706-8414 http://www.puryear-it.com Visit http://www.puryear-it.com/publications.htm to download your free copies of: "Best Practices for Managing Linux and UNIX Servers" "Spam Fighting and Email Security in the 21st Century" Tim Fournet wrote: It's been a while since I've done much Exchange work, but I think the tool you are looking for is ExMerge (see google). Exmerge is what you're looking for. You can make a csv file with the accounts and run the utility. Bret J. Re: [brlug-general] Job Opening
We were looking, about a year or so ago, for someone who could fill a basic entry level tech position and were approached by someone moving to BR and looking for a job. The requirements were (a) ability to read simple circuit diagrams. (b) use a soldering iron. The resume looked passable, and they knew up front what we were looking for - they showed up for the interview. Turns out that they can't even identify components on a schematic and have never used a soldering iron. I don't think that people really expect resumes to be read anymore...
