Re: VFS gump failed

Could someone please explain why gump fails with commons-vfs? In
fact, the tests should fail with errors as there is no testserver
for VFS to reach, but a ClassNotFoundException is strange, isnt it?

Because the test-classes directory wasn't on the CLASSPATH (Nial
changed the descriptor to include it via a directory already,
should work now).

New the test classes will be found, but the next exception occured due
to not correctly setup environment.
Is it somehow possible to disable the test stuff for gump without
disabling it in build.xml?

Thanks!
Mario

Gump can run any target and set properties, so there are several
options. The easiest one may be to place the tests into a target of
their own, add unless="running-in-gump" to that target and modify the
Gump descriptor to set this property.

For Maven it's easy enough. I haven't looked at your build.xml file, so I
don't know. If you have a conditional on the internal-test target then it
just needs to be set in the Gump . Alternatively, if the rest
builds fine without JUnit, then just remove the JUnit dependancy.
