+1 The Java src archive seems to include some of the binary artifacts (eg webapp.war), the license/notice covers everything so its not an issue just pointing it out in case its not intentional. ...ant On Mon, Jan 11, 2010 at 10:52 PM, Shanti Subramanyam wrote: > A reminder to please take a look at the Olio release and Vote. > > Thanks > Shanti > > -- Forwarded message -- > From: Shanti Subramanyam > Date: Tue, Jan 5, 2010 at 5:39 PM > Subject: [VOTE] Release Olio 0.2 > To: general@incubator.apache.org > > > The Olio community has voted to release Olio 0.2. Lucene Connector Framework Kickoff
Hi All, (Please keep replies to general@incubator.apache.org) I opened the following JIRA issues for starting LCF: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2431 I need two volunteers from the list of committers to be moderators. Please signify your willingness to be a committer by adding your name to the JIRA ticket. Confluence Wiki: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2432 JIRA project https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2433 I added SVN at: https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/lcf/ The following people need to submit iCLAs: Brian Pinkerton Karl Wright (kwright at metacarta) Josiah Strandberg (jstrandberg at metacarta) Ken Baker (bakerkj at metacarta) Marc Meadows (mam at metacarta) Once they are on file, I can request accounts. Everyone else should have permission to commit, as they are existing committers. Cheers, Grant - To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org

Sorry cannot remember its inital proposal name. -David - To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org

Please do step one, which is to add it to the ReportingSchedule and "Projects in Incubation" table. Clutch can then pick it up and start assisting to track what remains to be done. Clutch also tries to list the steps and point to the relevant Incubator docs: http://incubator.apache.org/clutch.html#steps -David - To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org

To get started, I've now requested a mailing lists for the project: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2430 I also created the Jira project and the Confluence space: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CONNECTORS http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CONNECTORS Both still need some tweaking. I've granted also you full admin rights to both. Once the project mailing lists are up we can discuss the details of how to import the existing code and any documentation and/or issue tracking data that may come with the code. Here's a few pointers on what we did with Tika: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1204 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-1 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-2 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-3 The biggest issue is probably getting all the ICLAs for the new committer accounts and the software grant for importing the initial codebase. Re: ASF: what do we have left?
When we discussed graduation requirements on the incubator general list, the idea was to have the incubator review a release made by the team, and review the process of releasing. There is still the open discussion of whether any of the Java package names need to be changed for an Apache release. Recently, the River podling came up with a rationale for releasing Java code from Apache that was not in the org.apache domain, and other projects also release code in e.g. the javax name space. What's the current thinking of the subversion team with regard to the Java name space? Craig On Jan 11, 2010, at 5:43 AM, C. Re: ChatterBot chat responder framework
I did find the docs, yes, thanks. The docs themselves are fairly clear, though perhaps there needs to be a more straightforward "Start Here". My impression from them, though, was that a community should exist first, before the actual proposal hit the list...? If the other way around works, I'll be happy to do it that way.
