RE: [PROPOSAL] BeanShell join the Apache Incubator
The code linked to in the proposal is a fork of the Beanshell code made in Dec 2012. I see no discussion on the Beanshell mailing lists about the code moving here. Can you explain a little about how the code has been donated without any public discussion. Have all copyright owners been consulted? Sent from Windows Mail *From:* John D. Is BeanShell actively maintained right now? Latest blog posts on the site indicate 2005 as the last year of major activity (JavaOne 2005 is mentioned, no dates on the blog posts on the front). The proposal also links to this page [1], which gives a 404 type error. Apache OpenOffice has BeanShell as a dependency and it would surely benefit from an actively maintained BeanShell under the Apache umbrella: I hope BeanShell can make it to the Incubator. Pedro already signed up as an initial committer and he is the best person to ensure collaboration between BeanShell and OpenOffice. Re: [PROPOSAL] BeanShell join the Apache Incubator
The proposal looks interesting. I also added my self as a mentor. Good luck. [PROPOSAL] BeanShell join the Apache Incubator
Hi there, the BeanShell project, the long living JSR-274 reference implementation, would like to join the Apache Incubator - I started preparing a proposal on Wiki[1] and we are looking for Mentors and committers. The project has already been donated to the ASF with the SG for BeanShell and original authors are onboard, we also have people who started maintaining their own fork, so the community is really promising! Please guys feel free to signup in the proposal if interested - help us on keep living the JSR-274 RI!!! Have a nice day, all the best! -Simo [1] http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/BeanShellProposal http://people.apache.org/~simonetripodi/ http://simonetripodi.livejournal.com/ http://twitter.com/simonetripodi http://www.99soft.org/ - To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org
