Request for additional report next month
Milagro Podling, While you received mentor sign off this month, the report is accepted. However, it does not answer the questions raised to you previously about moving code outside the ASF. If you can submit a minimal report at least answering that question for next month's report that would be useful. Regards, John D. Ament VP, Apache Incubator

[RESULT] Resolution to graduate Apache Impala to TLP
The vote[0] to graduate Impala to a TLP is concluded. The result is to recommend graduation. Binding votes: +1: Seven (John D. Ament, Pierre Smits, Todd Lipcon, Carl Steinbach, Byung-Gon Chun, Jean-Baptiste Onofré, Tom White) 0: none -1: none Non-binding votes: +1: One (Zheng, Kai) 0: none -1: none Thanks to the voters, who took time to vote. 0: https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/4abfbf40b7d822cdc19421ea55de21f19ce70c4fd73c6f4c8cc98ce8@%3Cgeneral.incubator.apache.org%3E
Graduation: who mails the board?
Impala just passed the IPMC graduation-to-TLP vote. The graduation guide says that the board is then emailed, but it is worded in the passive voice: "Once the resolution has been finalized and consensus reached, it should be submitted to the Board." Who is the intended sender of that email: the mentors, the IPMC, the PPMC, or just whoever gets around to it first?
Re: Graduation: who mails the board?
I agree this is a bit ambiguous. What you should do is to send a message to the board with a link to the [RESULT] message and add the resolution [to establish the project] to the board agenda. Re: Graduation: who mails the board?
I think I understand. I will write the email, but what is the mechanism by which I "add the resolution to establish the project to the board agenda"? Is that just the result of sending the email? Re: Graduation: who mails the board?
A resolution is added to the agenda by going to https://whimsy.apache.org/board/agenda/2017-11-15/ and clicking on "add resolution". If you do not have karma to do this, one of your mentors will have to do it for you. Craig > On Nov 11, 2017, at 8:44 PM, Jim Apple wrote: > > I think I understand.
