Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Fury(incubating) v0.5.1-rc2

2024-05-26 Thread Craig Russell
Hi Chaokun Yang,

During the community vote, none of your mentors cast a vote. The first source
for binding release votes is your mentors.

Can you please ask your mentors to vote before asking the entire Incubator PMC?

Thanks,
Craig

Re: [DISCUSS] OpenServerless Proposal to the incubator

2024-05-26 Thread PJ Fanning
I've moved the page to appear under the main Proposals page.

The champion needs to be an Apache member or an officer (e.g. a PMC
chair of an existing project).

2024-05-26 Thread Michele Sciabarra
Hi PJ,

Thank you a lot for fixing the urls. Can you also move the page under the
proposals? I am unable to do so, so it is under "New Podling Proposal"
instead of being under "Proposals".

I was confused by the text that the Champion is also the mentor but I
missed the requirement that a mentor should be PMC of the Incubator. If you
are willing to be our mentor I will happily accept your proposal. I just
edited the proposal adding you and removing me as a mentor.

Re: [DISCUSS] OpenServerless Proposal to the incubator

2024-05-26 Thread PJ Fanning
Hi Michele,

Your proposal looks good on an initial read. I spotted a few small items.
* The proposal had some accidental links to gihub.com which is a
phishing site that my anti-virus software blocks. I updated the
proposal to remove the links that I found.
* mentors need to be members of the Incubator PMC and you do not
appear to be a member - maybe you could find some other mentors from
the existing PMC membership - I can volunteer if you are short
* with the mailing lists, you don't need to include the 'incubator'
part in the name

[DISCUSS] OpenServerless Proposal to the incubator

2024-05-26 Thread Michele Sciabarra
Hi Apache Incubator members,

I would like to propose a new project to the ASF incubator - OpenServerless.

OpenServerless (currently Nuvolaris Community) is a complete Serverless
platform for Kubernetes built on top of Apache OpenWhisk, Redis, PosgreSQL,
FerredDB, Minio, APISIX and Ollama, providing support for back-end and
front-end, with a rich CLI, including development tools and IDE support,
tested on all the leading cloud kubernetes (EKS,AKS,GKE) and Linux
distributions (OpenShift, MicroK8S, K3S).

Here is the proposal:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/OpenServerlessProposal

I would be the Champion of the project. I will mentor and help the project
through the incubator with Bertrand Delacratez [bdelacra...@apache.org] and
Enrico Olivelli [eolive...@apache.org]

We are open to hearing the feedback from the incubator.
