Thanks Calvin,

We would archive the historical messages and migrate to the new channel.

It would be even better if historical messages could also be archived.

Hi, Justin

Thank you very much for the suggestion. Currently the GraphAr slack channel is
owned and managed  by myself.  As you suggested, we will move the Slack channel
to the ASF's Slack instance once GraphAr enters incubator.

RE: Re: [DISCUSS] Incubating Proposal for GraphAr

2024-03-02 Thread weibin.zen
Hi, tison

I'm Weibin from GraphAr community.

Thanks very much for your support and feedback on GraphAr.
For the questions about  communication channels,  here is our plan:

1.Google Group Channel:
Once GraphAr enters the Apache Incubator, our plan is to archive the existing
Google Group mailing list and migrate to 'd...@graphar.apahce.org' mail list.
We want to  transfer the archived content to the 'd...@graphar.apahce.org', if
feasible.  By doing so, we can ensure  the discussions on the Google Group are
preserved and accessible to the community.

2. Slack Channel:
We intend to continue maintaining the Slack channel as an additional real-time
communication platform for both users and developers. Slack provides a
convenient and efficient means of real-time communication. It can serve as an
additional tool for people to connect with the GraphAr community.
