Dear Apache Incubator Community,

Having passed the Community Graduation Vote [1] by the AGE community with a
vote result to graduate the incubation [2], we have discussed Apache AGE's
graduation in the general@incubator [DISCUSS] thread [3], where no issues
were raised and lots of positive responses were received.

I would like to start this voting thread to request graduating Apache AGE
(incubating) from the incubator as a TLP.

Please provide your vote as one of the following options:

[ ] +1 - Recommend graduation of Apache AGE as a Top Level

[ ] 0 - I don't feel strongly about it, but don't object

[ ] -1 - Do not recommend the graduation of Apache AGE because …

The VOTE will remain open for at least 72 hours.

In addition to building and releasing the AGE software the Apache Way, the
Apache AGE (Incubating) project community has grown in the following areas:

-

Close to 1000 commits
-

Added 9 new committers (from 7 different companies/institutions in 7
different countries) and elevated 4 committers to PPMC
-

7 Apache releases (AGE 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7 and 1.0 and sub-project
AGE Viewer 1.0) from different release managers [4]
-

4 mentors, 13 PPMC members / committers (mentors excluded)
-

50+ unique contributors - Contributions span more than 20 countries
across the globe

-

Developed and maintained the Apache AGE website [5]
-

Created an online user guide updated automatically to support new
version of AGE. [6]
-

Assessed ourselves against the Apache Project maturity matrix [7] and
didn't find any issues

2022-05-08 Thread Jasper Blues
+1

I stated my reasons in the discussion thread. To reiterate: I have several
clients in SE Asia and AU/NZ region who are excited about this project. They’re
a good match for and sold on the ability of multi-model for a “best of both
worlds” where we treat both the graph and relational features as commodity on
top of a battle tested engine.
