 i've been searching for releases by retired podlings in order to
 archive them but can't locate releases for any of them

 anyone have any ideas about what happend to them?

Examples?  Is it possible that there were none?

This is another reason we should only use the 'real' dist on 
www.apache.org, since all of that is automatically put into archive:

I meant examples of some where you believe that there might have been a
release that you cannot find.  :-)

Axion, for example, never arrived at the ASF.

The only one I know of is Agila and no public release had been made so
there's nothing th find there.
