ApacheCon 2002 US: Deadline for submissions is TO-MORROW!

2002-05-30 Thread Andrew C. Oliver

Sorry for the cross post but I think this is of sufficient importance
and I don't think everyone on here is on
the announcements list.

-Andy
--

Greetings!

One last reminder: the deadline for submitting proposals for
sessions to be presented at ApacheCon 2002 in Las Vegas this
November is *to-morrow*, Friday 31 May 2002. If your submission
isn't in the system by the close of business EDT, it won't be
considered.

Another reminder, in case you weren't aware and have travel
restrictions: speakers have reasonable travel and lodging expenses
paid, their conference registration waived, and receive a
speaking fee as well.

See http://ApacheCon.Com/html/cfp.html> for the submission
form.

And a final reminder: Even if you're not interested in speaking,
but *are* interested in attending, you can help us select
the best content by joining the open discussion list and letting
us know what topics *you'd* like to see scheduled!

Thanks!

Nope. Your patch(es) is badly line wrapped.

Is there some reason why you can't apply the patch yourself (or request
commit access)?

I'm not really sure what your problem is...but I noticed another problem
which is that your umask is wrong. You need to set it to 002

Fix your umask and do this...

chmod -R g+w /www/jakarta.apache.org/site

That will attract volunteers a great deal ;((.
The least "the project" (and therefor also you as a committer), has an
obligation to give a reasonable response to the effort taken. Clouding
the mailinglist with reminders (what some projects actually specifically
ask for), is actually not something I should invest my time in.
Just a simple "we don't have time for it now, it is on the todo list..
", would do in many cases.

So if you don't want to take that effort : don't take up the
responsibility of being a committer.

So the obligation to do something with it, is of the project and if you
are part of that you have an obligation.

Mvgr,
Martin
