Has it been taken offline? I was looking at it earlier, and can't now.

Anyone have a copy? I'd like to keep one.

Re: Classic compiler

2001-01-29 Thread Petr Suchomel

I remember, I had same problem which looked very strange .. and I had set
JAVA_HOME to point to JRE not to the SDK.
it means JAVE_HOME must be f.e.
../jdk1.3
not jdk1.3/jre

compiler when compiling build.xml .Eveytime I try to compile build.xml I
  receive this message:
I tried evey clue but nothing happend .set the
  JAVA_HOME
  classpath but it still
  saying..pre:    [javac] Compiling 10 source
files    [javac] Modern compiler is not available - using
  classic compiler

  BUILD FAILED

  C:\orion\applications\mine\build.xml:9: Cannot

Lemme ask you a question: Do you usually read the License agreement when
you download a new version of the JDK on Sun's site?

No. Why? it's too long.

If you want people read your stuff on http://jakarta.apache.org/site/mail.html,
remove the fat.

Something like that, in red:

1) don't send HTML messages
2) don't ask questions on:
  - [EMAIL PROTECTED]
  - [EMAIL PROTECTED]

And as it looks like many people hate HTML messages, a better approach would
be to install a filter that bounce the message back with a *nice* explanation.

OH, BTW, I REALLY *HATE* THE EXTRA SCROLLING+CLICK I HAVE TO DO NOW
TO *BROWSE* ON OF THE MAILING LIST.
