I think going forward it should absolutely be sync'ed with Axis2. However, given the timing of Axis2 I don't think we should prevent a JSR 172 impl being completed until Axis2 is complete. I would very much like to see what we'd need to do in Axis2 to make the core runnable on the J2ME platform. As such, I'd like to encourage the J2ME folks to join the Axis2 community as well. (We already have that with Ias but I'm referring to the other guys too.)
