No problem.  Now, if only I could find a clean way (within the portage
system) to determine exactly which X.org packages need to be unmasked to
get xf86-video-intel to work properly since 'emerge -av
xf86-video-intel' doesn't want to upgrade anything...

Re: [gentoo-amd64] IMAP server for localhost

Hi,

So, I got it all set up and running yesterday. A few small issues came
up that have been fixed. Now it's been working fine since this
afternoon.

- Dovecot listens for connections from localhost:$port.
- Every 5 minutes Getmail gets my email from the one pop3 server I have
  to live with. It's set up as a cronjob like in the hotwo I found on
  the Gentoo wiki.

I really like this. I didn't realize you could regularly send mail to
the maildir without bothering the IMAP server - which is actually
logical, since it just serves what's there.

All in all I'm happy!
