Trustees voting did actually finish over a month ago. It's high time
for the official announcement. This year's Board of Trustees for the

something we wanted a vote on, in addition to the regular board,
however, only 5 people were nominated. Thus, they formed the new board:

I present to you, then, the new Board of Trustees:

  Chris Gianelloni (wolf31o2)
  Grant Goodyear (g2boojum)
  Stuart Herbert (stuart)
  Seemant Kulleen (seemant)
  Renat Lumpau (rl03)

We will schedule the first Board Meeting for this year, for sometime
  this month, hopefully.

Please note that the board is 60% new, so please do welcome the new
  members.

Congratulations, trustees - new and old! :D Now where's my Free iPod? ;P

Best,
Elfyn

5 nominees, 5 positions. Did you want a popularity contest among them?

Thanks,

Hmm, wasn't there some sort of question as to whether or not simply
accepting them was valid under current policy? I seem to recall that
somebody was going to look into this, but I could also be totally
smoking chriswhite's rainbow neon crack rock.

A Debian-style reopen nominations option with a vote would make more
sense...

I wouldn't oppose this at all if that's what the foundation members
want. However, this issue has languished on -core precisely due to
non-interest. So if you can rile up the people to rise up and demand
this, or something, you'll definitely impress with me :)

I just remembered something. Didn't Stuart say that he planned on
leaving Gentoo when he was nominated for the Council recently (and
declined)?

Yes I did.  There are a few things I want to achieve before I leave;
being on the Council would have been a distraction from that.

Best regards,

Not trying to be confused - its a natural state for me. Does this mean
you are not a trustee (declining the role) and so there is still 1 slot
open?
