Re: [gentoo-user] Installing gentoo remotely
Hello What's the best way to install gentoo remotely? i.e. I've got a person with enough skill to put a CD in the CD-ROM tray and boot from it. Anything else is difficult, even with them on the phone. My way was: Give the person a SuSE 9.0 Live-CD. This boots and hopefully everything works including ethernet. I dunno if there is sshd enabled by default. Then you can log in and bootstrap the system as usual (and described here: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-x86-install.xml ). Re: [gentoo-user] gnome 2.2 to 2.4
Hi! I had the same problem. I unmerged the blocking bonobo-package, merged the new bonobo-package and continued with emerge -u gnome. This worked for me. Andreas -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
