What is the right (or not) way to disable this request (or answer)?

 Thanks ! It's what I need.

You're welcome. For a discussion of different methods to disable arp
request, you can search the lvs mailing list.

Matthias F. Brandstetter:

Exactly! But I could implement a backup server of the NFS store heh :)
Na, it seems the only (?) solution would be a regular sync between the two
 machines... let's see

Have you looked at gfs or opengfs?

No, never heard of that though ... What is it, what does it? Do you have an
 URL for it?

gfs is a commercial product. You can find more info at http://www.sistina.com

Re: [gentoo-user] Where the heck is Bitchx?

Jayson Garrell:
This morning I needed to get some info from irc so I decided to fireup
bitchx. I cannot find it on my system. Portage thinks it is there...

For some reason the binary is called BitchX. Try that instead.

Re: [gentoo-user] OT: Apache2 Configuration Questions

2003-08-22 Thread Magnus Nordseth
Stroller:

My first question is: is it possible to have apache return requests for
 stuff.stroller.uk.eu.org with /home/httpd/htdocs/stuff/index.html ? Is
it possible to do this automagically for all foo.stroller.uk.eu.org
 bar.stroller.uk.eu.org grunt.stroller.uk.eu.org ??

I strongly recommend using dynamic vhosting for this. Look at
http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/vhosts/mass.html for more info.

Mark Knecht:

This presumes that I have enough background to:

 1) Know that it can be changed
 2) Know what some options are
 3) Feel confident that the change won't somehow cause the whole thing to
 break my machine.

I fail on all three counts! ;-) ;-)

Then I think you would be better off with another distro.
