[gentoo-user] iptables: Invalid argument

2003-03-26 Thread mike mcgranahan
hello,

i am new to gentoo, and am having trouble configuring
basic NAT on my dialup system. these are the basic
commands (that used to work on my debian system) and
their output:

# modprobe iptable_nat
# iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o ppp0 -j MASQUERADE
iptables: Invalid argument
# echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

these are the relevent modules loaded:
ipt_MASQUERADE
iptable_nat
ip_conntrack
ip_tables

my kernel is based on 2.4.20-gentoo-r2. perhaps i
missed some kernel options? thanks for any help.

mike
