I'd be glad to. Go to Bookmarks menu > Manage Bookmarks. Then create a
folder called 'Personal Toolbar Folder'. Now, you can drag links onto
the personal toolbar. The folder name has to be _exactly_ as I
mentioned without quotes though.

By all means, please elaborate. I've had this exact same problem and never found the solution.

It is the last step of dragging the BM that doesn't happen. Do you mean
from the bookmark management dialogue to the personal toolbar on the
browser or drag it somewhere within the dialogue? Dragging it makes no
difference to the toolbar from the dialogue anyway.

Thanks for input.

To add a bookmark to the personal tool bar do ctrl+D to add the bookmark
then ctrl+B to open the manage bookmarks dialog. You can then drag your
BM to the personal tool bar

Okay, to follow on, no matter how I recompile it the personal toolbar
just under the address bar is unusable. No links can be added to it and
there are none to begin with instead of there being two mozilla links.
Has no one else experienced this problem?

Further to my last email I did compile it with gtk2 support so I suppose
I should try it without since gtk2 support is said to have problems.

I'll post my results.

[gentoo-user] Annoying Mozilla 1.3 problem/bug

2003-03-19 Thread Dhruba Bandopadhyay
Hello

I just emerged mozilla with the following use flags.

net-www/mozilla-1.3 +java +crypt -ipv6 +gtk2 +ssl -ldap +gnome +mozsvg
+mozcalendar +mozaccess +mozinterfaceinfo +mozp3p +mozxmlterm +moznoirc
+moznomail +moznocompose +moznoxft

Now, no links can be added to the personal toolbar by dragging or any
other means that I know of. This is really frustrating as links on
there are for quick access and make life easier.

Usually if you remove all links on the personal toolbar it doesn't let
you add any more. Now, on a fresh emerge of mozilla there were no links
on there which might explain why it won't let me add any. The question
is how do I solve this issue?

If anyone else manages to replicate this by compiling mozilla without
xft support do let me know.

Any suggestions much appreciated.
