The plastik style is in the kdelibs package, and the plastik windec is
in the kwin package. Do you have both installed, and do the files exist
(search in /usr/kde/3.4/lib)?

I've done that - no improvement.

/usr/kde/3.4/share/apps/kwin/plastik.desktop is definitely there, but
plastik (and the other .desktop files in the same directory) aren't there.
 Permissions are -rw-r--r--  1 root root, which I think is correct.

I've created a new user account, but the same problem happens.

Any ideas?
