On the other hand, now would be a good time for me to clean all of the

Indeed, and this made me try them for the first time. It was totally
painless and I can recommend it. OTOH some other router oriented
distros seem lagging behind, or don't even have a stable upgrade
mechanism in place [cough .. openwrt].

My tablet is 4 years old. When I asked on IRC how to get lineageos on
it, the answer was brief: "Get a new device".

Well, I turned it into a media player with no network connection
some time before that, so no big loss.

Could it be your mail provider is using OAUTH2 like Gmail does? If so you
will need to tweak Google's (your ISP's) security settings to allow non-OAuth
authentication mechanisms, or look into obtaining an OAuth token and use this
instead of your normal login passwd.

I'm somewhat thin on the details, but if this is the cause of your problem the
interwebs should provide steps to help with the particulars.

The bug is a bit noisy, but it isn't clear to me what is actually
wrong with /lib/gentoo/functions.sh. I do see that there is a
dependency on gentoo-functions which should install it, though it is
odd that it is only pulled in for USE=-systemd. Perhaps they need to
use an openrc-specific functions.sh. One of the issues is that
historically this file was packaged by openrc but wasn't entirely
openrc-specific, so we're trying to split out the stuff that applies
no matter what service manager you use from the stuff that actually is
related to openrc.

Hi Peter,

There is no much information to understand what exactly you tried
already.
I use claws-mail for a few years now, have no issues, it's a great
mail client, but whenever I want to start fresh I do go around all
settings (general) and account and tweak things, so I don't remember
what defaults are.

Take a look at "Configuration > Preferences" under "Mail Handlig >
Receiving" in "Automatic checking" section "Check for new mail on
start-up" is set (if you want this) (interval checking if you
want that as well).

Also take a look at "Configuration > Edit Accounts" then select your

new messages on this account" set.

Hi Meino,

what do $PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET and $PYTHON_TARGETS look like on your system
(check, e.g., the output of "emerge --info")? Those determine what version of
python the package actually uses.

In any case, I would file a bug that apparently Python 3.4 is not supported by
that package anymore, so that it can be removed from the list of compatible
versions.
