hmh, works fine for me on 2.6.21.

You might want to consider using gentoo-sources-2.6.20-r8 because that is
the latest stable one.

you are on amd64 I suppose?


Otherwise you can get a gizmo emerged by doing the following steps:

emerge layman
layman -f -a sunrise
echo source /usr/portage/local/layman/make.conf  /etc/make.conf
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86 emerge gizmo

On amd64 someone yould need to look into the emul libs needed, likel from
your output you are mising some of the emul libs for x86 and are on amd64

You can just rename the ebuild and put it into your overlay until the gentoo
samba developers get to it.

There is a bug open about eix not knowing the source command.

It is already committed in the subversion.

 and yes, I did put in source /usr/portage/layman/make.conf in make.conf

A simple workaround is to just not use the source command, edit
/etc/layman/layman.cfg:
make_conf : %(storage)s/make.conf

change that to /etc/make.conf
