Hi

My box can`t link to internet , I using rp-pppoe I think it work fine, when
run pppoe-start I get internet IP and the right DNS informention in
/etc/resolv.conf ，but ping google.com , unknewn name, ping IP is rest

why??

Because you didn`t mount /boot?


Yes! I find the erro in /etc/fstab

/dev/sda7/boot   ext3*noauto,*notime,noexec 0 0

 On my gentoo box, Useing grub and it work fine!
 But I`m NOT find the file menu.lst in /etc and /boot,Why???


 and I install another kernel , Then write the file "menu.lst" at
/boot/grub/menu.lst,
 But Grub DON`T read it when booting,Why??


 anybody help me?   thanks!!

  There is a HW issue in ATI SB600 SATA that PxSERR.E should not be
   set on some conditions, for example, when there is no media in SATA
   CD/DVD drive or media is not ready, AHCI controller fails to execute
   ATAPI commands and reports PORT_IRQ_TF_ERR, but ATI SB600 SATA
   controller sets PxSERR.E at the
   same time, which is not necessary.
   This patch is just to ignore the INTERNAL ERROR in such case.
   Without this patch, ahci error handler will report many errors as
   below:

few minuted without keyboard/mouse touch) and never wakes up (power button
reset is necessary). Could someone point me to where I have to start,

My kernel is 2.6.19-gentoo-r5 with enabled ACPI.
