[gentoo-user] clock applet in gnome 2.14

Hello!  This happens with the clock applet when adding it to the panel:  panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_ClockApplet"  Google does not have a clue so far.  Would be nice to have a clock running with gnome 2.14 ;)  Thanks!

check out the gentoo forums.  There's a loong sticky thread there on
gnome 2.14, which if you're trying, I suggest you bookmark.

Essentially, you have to re-emerge gnome-panel and gnome-applets.

Actually last night I re-emerged gnome-panel and then did a killall on
the old one and the clock worked just fine...

My clock applet in GNOME keeps dying.  I tried re-emerging
gnome-applets.  After it got finished re-emerging I issued a killall
gnome-panel, but when it reloaded the clock still crashed.  Any advice
on this one?
