[geo] Re: Mike MacCracken taking over as lead moderator of [geo

2010-05-05 Thread sesalmony

Thanks to all of you for leading discussions about vital concerns. Y'all remind
me about how much there is to learn as well as what a formidable global
predicament looms before us. Best of luck to Ken Caldeira and Mike MacCracken.

Dear Ken/Mike/Andrew,

On behalf of the group, I would like to express our gratitude as the running of
these can take considerable effort and time from yourselves.

Folks,

Mike MacCracken has agreed to take over as lead moderator for [geo].

Andrew Lockley is continuing in his role as lead moderator for [clim].

The idea is that informed or well-grounded comments focused on geoengineering
that would be of interest to busy professionals should be sent to
geoengineering@googlegroups.com [geo].
http://groups.google.com/group/geoengineering

Comments that range more broadly or are of a more speculative nature should be
directed to climateintervent...@googlegroups.com [clim].
http://groups.google.com/group/climateintervention

The idea is that [geo] is tightly moderated whereas [clim] is lightly moderated.

I will continue to act as back-up moderator for both groups.

I thank Mike and Andrew for their help.

Best,

Ken

[geo] BLUEBIRD

2010-05-05 Thread Mike MacCracken
Let's keep the BLUEBIRD discussions to the climateintervention blog and not
have the note on the geoengineering blog (or both).
