Re: [Geoserver-devel] Fix for GEOS-4978
Any chance we could get a 1.4.0 release as well? GeoWebCache right now looks like an abandoned project from many angles - https://github.com/GeoWebCache/geowebcache/ Like there it says that the release notes were updated for 1.3-RC3 over a year ago. Kevin, would you be up for trying to cut a release? I'm sure Gabriel would help with advice. Re: [Geoserver-devel] SIP 97: Promote the CSS Styling module to extension status
All right, voting has been open for 1 week and the final tally is 3 +1, no votes against. I've created a JIRA issue and will migrate the module over once 2.3.3 is released. BTW, I updated the community module this weekend, now the Java port of the Wicket and Spring integration is complete. The CSS module from GeoScript is still Scala though. -- David Winslow OpenGeo - http://opengeo.org/ On Thu, Jun 6, 2013 at 5:39 PM, Phil Scadden p.scad...@gns.cri.nz wrote: +1 - for 2.3.4 Notice: This email and any attachments are confidential. [Geoserver-devel] Security improvements
Hello everyone, I am currently having a look at what needs to happen to implement some additional features and improvements in the security system. The first thing is making rules that combine layers and services, which is now impossible. This seems like a pretty straight-forward improvement to me, but it will require quite some changes in the main module. A discussion with the people involved is going to be necessary. I was wondering though if there are any unexpected issues or loopholes about this I should be aware of? Perhaps a reason why people chose not to implement it earlier? The other thing is that apparently there is a security leak through the GeoWebCache. An integration of geoserver security with GWC is needed. There is already a JIRA issue about this: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4217 It seems that people might have worked on this already or looked in to it in the past, so I would like to get in touch with these people, or any other people who need to be involved, if possible.
