Re: [Geoserver-devel] modification proxy cloning problems

This issue basically makes it impossible to run GeoServer locally. The problem manifests itself as a ClassNotFoundException resulting from calls to cloneMap and cloneCollection when the deepCopy argument is set to true. From what I can tell the problem is exactly the one described here: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/JRUBY-5142 The class loader being used by ObjectOutputStream sometimes ends up being the parent of the main application class loader, meaning it doesn't have any of the geotools/geoserver/etc.. .classes defined in it. So we end up getting a ClassNotFoundException whenever the map or collection contains an object not defined in the jre runtime class library. So, how about taking the same approach as the JRuby folks and use a custom ObjectOutputStream that ensures we always use the app class loader? Hi, Please do not shout. This is a mailing list and there is no person who wants to hurt you by sending spam. Somehow your e-mail address is registered as a member of the list or then the developer mails are forwarded to you from the mailing system of your office. Go to https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/geoserver-devel and order a new password for your email address. If you receive the password, use it and remove yourself from the list. The password reminder does not tell if your email address is not registered for the list but if you don't get a new password into your mail box you can guess that it was the case: you have not joined the list ever but you are receiving forwarded mails from your job. Contact the desk again or perhaps your boss, but still, do not shout. With best regards, -Jukka Rahkonen- Lähettäjä: Smith, Richard C. Title: Message Title Justin Deoliveira created an issue GeoServer / GEOS-6563 SQL Server import doesn't preserve geometry SRID's Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Justin Deoliveira Components: Importer Created: 03/Jul/14 4:08 PM Fix Versions: 2.5.1 Priority: Major Reporter: Justin Deoliveira Reason being that unlike postgis we don;t have a geometry columns table to look up the srid from. Should be easily fixable by having the importer pass through the CRS via geometry user data (or pass through the srid on the geometry object itself). The JDBC datastores (including sql server) will pick that up. Add Comment
