[Geoserver-devel] Disable gs-gwc-s3 to fix the GeoServer community build

2017-08-10 Thread Ben Caradoc-Davies
I am just about to disable gs-gwc-s3 to fix the GeoServer community
build. This module no longer compiles because of recent GeoWebCache changes.

Kind regards,

I was wrong. It did exist as a community module for a while (e.g. back in
2.6), but has since been removed.

I don't believe W3DS was ever merged. There is no support that I am aware
of.

What are you actually trying to do? W3DS appears to have died in favour of
CityGML and the like.

How to manage W3DS layers in GeoServer? I stored several layers in PostGIS
database, published in GeoServer, however, it does not show W3DS format and
cannot query.

[Geoserver-devel] GeoWebCache Jetty Upgrade

2017-08-10 Thread David Vick
Hi All,

In my work for updating the rest api to Spring MVC 4 I have found a need to
upgrade the jetty container and xmlutil library. I have completed those
changes and am providing a clean PR that contains only the Jetty upgrade
and xmlutil upgrade. There were some minor code changes required to ensure
that all tests continued to pass as a result of those changes. Please take
a look at the PR, I appreciate any feedback you have.

Would it be possible to add functionality to call /reload only on a specific store or workspace, rather than the whole Geoserver catalog? We have an external tool that dynamically creates new stores, and could potentially update some coverage configurations. It calls /reload each time a change is done, which forces the geoserver to reload its entire catalog (we may end up with a few thousand layers), when really only a few stores need to be reloaded.
