Re: [Geoserver-devel] GeoPackage core support

2017-08-27 Thread Andrea Aime
Hi Brad,
I spent all the time I had today fixing several errors in the geopackage
raster reader, while
there are still some issues, this pull request makes the sample geopackages
as well as some
I've created with GDAL displayable (before it was a mix of exceptions and
wrong outputs):

https://github.com/geotools/geotools/pull/1690

I am now looking at your proposed change, and I've merged it in the above
pull request.

Now... my next spare time window is going to be Thursday while I'm flying
to Seul...
which is too late for the beta release.

Can anybody follow up with these two pull requests and merge them? :-)

Cheers
Andrea

Re: [Geoserver-devel] GeoPackage core support

2017-08-27 Thread Brad Hards
Thanks for doing this.

As noted on the PR, we're getting some failure on a couple of extension
modules, probably for a missing dependency in gs-main (not transient from the
parent pom for reasons I don't understand). After adding that as a dependency,
I get failures in WCS 1.0 and OWS (probably more modules after that - I
stopped commenting them out at this point).
The problem is that we're putting "GeoPackage (mosaic)" in as a format name,
which is causing validation problems. That can be fixed on the GeoTools side
by updating the name (I suggest GeoPackageMosaic - will put up a PR so people
can comment).

The spec says .gpkg - we'll likely get random stuff if we look for .db
