Tried a straight backport bot PR and it does not compile. Perhaps you can
have a look (I do not have oracle presently available to test against).

 I also note that foss4g is occurring right around when we make the RC;
I am considering making a milestone release for a foss4g workshop (if that
 is okay with everyone).

We also made the idea of making the 2.22 release Java 11 and Java 17
only (dropping java 8) but this is waiting on a proposal...

Re: [Geoserver-devel] Release volunteer for July needed

2022-07-13 Thread Marco Volpini
Dear Jody, all,
My apologies, I know that it is too late to request an early backport at
this stage, but do you think there is a chance to have this GEOT-7173
 accepted for early
backport on gt 27.x before the release?
The improvement adds three connection parameters to an OracleNG DataStore
to be able to set timeouts on login and on socket connections to the
database. Doesn't alter the behaviour of the store if those
connection properties are unset. It should be then safe to backport it.

2022-07-13 Thread Jody Garnett
I trust those in the norther hemisphere are enjoying summer.

I have capacity to make the 2.21.1 release this week and announce Monday
the 18th (ie on schedule).

I would ask that https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/6057 be
accepted and backported for this release (as there is an issue with request
logging affecting my customers).
