Re: [Geoserver-users] How to configure GeoServer 2.1.4 to use OSMM (Ordinary Survey Mastermap)?
We use postgis rather than oracle. Because the mapping is in Mapinfo format we use Easyloader to upload to postgis. Did you get it working by down grading to version 2.1.2? If so it looks like a problem with Windows server introduced by later version os Geoserver -Original Message- From: Shang Jin [mailto:shang@csduk.com] Sent: 04 July 2012 09:03 To: Andy Berry Subject: RE: [Geoserver-users] How to configure GeoServer 2.1.4 to use OSMM (Ordinary Survey Mastermap)? Hi Andy, Thank you very much for reply. I have read through your post: http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/Geoserver-upgrade-td4980458.html I can log onto our GeoServer server and add & publish new layers now. By the way, do you have OSMM as your Oracle Spatial data source? I would like to have a map for Suffolk County Council only via the GeoServer's WMS. Just like the USA Population OpenLayer in the GeoServer samples, I would like to have normal map of Suffolk County instead of the population constrain. Re: [Geoserver-users] Geoserver upgrade
I'm on Windows Server 2008 Standard. I thought it was a layer creation problem at first, but its strange that I can go to Services/WFS, change the Title and it saves, but Services/WMS change the title won't save. Installing version 2.1.2 using a war file and everything works again without touching the data. The only thing I have noticed is that with 2.1.2 the Geoserver service starts immediately, but with 2.1.3 I have to start the service manually the first time. -Original Message- From: andrea.a...@gmail.com [mailto:andrea.a...@gmail.com] On Behalf Of Andrea Aime Sent: 11 June 2012 17:59 To: Nji, Klaus Cc: Andy Berry; geoserver-users@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Geoserver-users] Geoserver upgrade On Mon, Jun 11, 2012 at 5:50 PM, Nji, Klaus wrote: > I have a related problem with 2.1.3 and 2.1.4. [Geoserver-users] Geoserver upgrade
I am experiencing problems with the upgrading of a test geoserver. We are running live with Geoserver version 2.1.0. I have made a copy of the data and installed a second copy of Tomcat on a different port. Installing Geoserver version 2.1.0, pointing at the copied data works fine. Upgrading to 2.1.1 works fine, as does upgrading to 2.1.2. However when I upgrade to version 2.1.3 or 2.1.4 I am unable to edit some areas of geoserver. For example I cannot change the default style under edit layer. If I try to edit any of the WMS service settings such as changing the Title, this also fails, but I can change the title in the WFS settings. I am sure its not access rights on the files as all the problems above work fine on version 2.1.0 to 2.1.2 Please help Take a look - you can pay, report, request, have your say and find information online at www.wrexham.gov.uk. [Geoserver-users] Test Geoserver
I want to create a test Geoserver so that I can test the newer versions I have copied the data store to a different location. Installed Geoserver 2.1.0 (same as live version) on a different Apache Tomcat Set the data directory to the copied data files. Upgraded the Test Geoserver to 2.1.3 I have left the PostGIS stores pointing to the live PostGIS Layer preview looks OK If I try editing an existing layer, by for example by changing to a different style table, the layer will not save. I can create new styles though. I get a similar problem if I try to publish an existing table. [Geoserver-users] Watermarks
We are using Geoserver 2.1 and have noticed a problem with watermarks set in WMS Settings. Some of our base layers do not change very often and are cached using the inbuilt GeowebCache. However we are using overlays that change on an hourly basis (point data from PostGIS). We have found that the scaling of the watermarks are handled differently for non cached tiles, compared to cached ones. If both layers are cashed, we end up with large watermarks, in the same positions. If both layers are not cached, we end up with smaller watermarks, again in the same position. Using one layer cached and another not cached, results in both sizes of watermarks in different positions. Is there a way around this problem?
