[Geoserver-users] Redirection after login

Hi Geoserver User List,

i use geoserver with tomcat 9.x, apache 2.4.x in conjunction with proxypass via 
ajp. Java is openjdk 11 LTS.

The server is accessible as intranet and internet application. This is 
controlled by reverse proxy.

With installation of the current 20th version, when I log in via intranet 
(Ip.x.x.x/geoserver) I am always redirected to the first virtual entry of the 
certificate (foo.domain.de/geoserver) and have to enter my password again.

My apache, tomcat and reverse proxy settings have not changed.

Where can I change this behavior in the geoserver?

Hi Jonathan,

it does’t work for all Layer. But only Shape and Excel Export. GML and KML 
works fine.

Maybe an Error from Global GDAL variable?

Or my Tomcat Temp Path is incorrect? But I cannot find some docu about the Temp 
Configuratuion Geoserver-Tomcat under Windows Server 2012

Hi Michael,
No idea if it's this, but given the area, maybe there's a space or other 
illegal/confusing character in either the zip file that's trying to be 
produced, or the file that's meant to be getting zipped?
Otherwise, if it's repeatable, it's probably worth reporting as a bug.

I have a problem with the Shape-Zip export via WFS.

C:\Windows\TEMP
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 8.0\webapps\geoserver\

I had the problems with 2008R2 too.
Give Read and Wright (RW) rights to the System, User xXx

IP Address did change but I give postgis access to all pc in our domain who 
give the correct password

Did you change your server IP address? if so you may have to reopen access to 
PostGIS using the new IP.

I copied my data into the internal folder to try remove that as a possible 
reason

I’ve been using Tomcat 8.15 to 8.21 for 6 months with no issues on windows 
server 2008 – my backup server is currently running on 8.21 with the same data 
with no problems

I can try Tomcat 7 if that is what will work with windows server 2012

1) It seems it's not using your external data directory
2) It's Tomcat 8, which is known not to work, I did say so earlier in this
