[Geoserver-users] URL domain becomes localhost:8080 when login

2023-02-17 Thread celati Laurent
Good morning,
I work with geoserver 2.21.1 and Jetty (debian)
The home page loads fine: https://*SERVER_NAME.fr*/geoserver/web/?0.
But when I log in (with id/pswd), there is a problem. The URL becomes
http://*localhost:8080*/geoserver/j_spring_security_check.

Do you know why it becomes "localhost:8080" instead of keeping the server
name?
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello,
Thanks.
No, I haven't tried anything yet. Before any attempt, I wanted to know the
best practice to do this task.

2023-02-07 Thread celati Laurent
Good morning,
I'm taking the liberty to write a message. I have to migrate a geoserver
instance 2.18.1 (windows) to 2.21.1 (Linux Debian).
I would like to be able to restore all data if possible (Workspaces,
Warehouses, Layers ans styles).
FYI, I work with postgresql/postgis tables.
What would be good practice to do this? I found this extension in
particular:

https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/community/backuprestore/index.html

Is using this extension recommended for my case ?

Thanks a lot.

Re: [Geoserver-users] Serve more 800 JP2 files with Image Mosaic ?

2021-09-07 Thread celati Laurent
Following to my previous message,
I provide an edit :
I work with windows 2019 server.

I tried to install so the gdal plugin (in order to be abble to serve 800
JP2 files with image mosaic tools)
thanks to this page:
https://docs.geoserver.org/master/en/user/data/raster/gdal.html

I install this following package from :
https://www.gisinternals.com/release.php
MSVC 2019 new x64 release-1928-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4
<https://www.gisinternals.com/query.html?content=filelist=release-1928-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4.zip>

I set the variables (windows 10) as :

GDAL_DATA=C:\Program
Files\release-1928-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4\bin\gdal-data

PATH=%PATH%;C:\Program
Files\release-1928-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4\bin;C:\Program
Files\release-1928-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4\bin\gdal\java;

GDAL_DRIVER_PATH=C:\Program
Files\release-1928-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4\bin\gdal\plugins

I reboot the server but unfortunatly, new formats don't appear in the store
interface. And i still can't browse my JP2 data.

Anyone has an idea?
It would be interesting to make a try with another gdal package for intance
this one, the MSVC 2017 ?
MSVC 2017 new x64 release-1916-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4
<https://www.gisinternals.com/query.html?content=filelist=release-1916-x64-gdal-3-3-1-mapserver-7-6-4.zip>
  In my case, it would be mandatory or recommanded to install other plugins
as plugin JPEG2K or image pyramid ?

Thanks a lot.

[Geoserver-users] Serve more 800 JP2 files with Image Mosaic ?

2021-09-07 Thread celati Laurent
Good morning,

I am a newbie with geoserver.

I work with windows and geoserver 2.18.1.
I have to serve 800 JP2 files.
Please find below their characteristics:
8 bit unsigned. 3 bands. Pixel size : 2.5,-2.5
Dimension  : X: 4000 Y: 4000.

Could you tell me which tools, which extensions allow to serve my 800 JP2
files ?
I just tried to create a new repository with ImageMosaic but i have this
error message :

Could not list layers for this store, an error occurred retrieving them:
Failed to create reader from file://D:\SIG-GLOBAL-ANDRA\IGN\BD_SCAN25\temp
and hints Hints: REPOSITORY =
org.geoserver.catalog.CatalogRepository@2b8e2550 EXECUTOR_SERVICE =
java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor@2d8b60c[Running, pool size = 0,
active threads = 0, queued tasks = 0, completed tasks = 0] System defaults:
COMPARISON_TOLERANCE = 1.0E-8 GRID_COVERAGE_FACTORY = GridCoverageFactory
TILE_ENCODING = null FEATURE_FACTORY =

= true FORCE_AXIS_ORDER_HONORING = http FILTER_FACTORY = FilterFactoryImpl
STYLE_FACTORY = StyleFactoryImpl FORCE_LONGITUDE_FIRST_AXIS_ORDER = true

Could you confirm to me that ImageMosaic is the relevant tool for my need
?
I have no install the gdal extension. As far i understood, i have to
install this extension in order to be abble to serve JP2 files with
imageMosaic ? Could you confirm to me ?

If there are alternative ways to reach my goals ? Thanks a lot.

[Geoserver-users] Generate raster tiles for basemap : best practices?

2021-08-26 Thread celati Laurent
I work with *Qgis* and *geoserver* on windows.

We need to generate *raster tiles* for basemap *(with a style defined for
different viewing scales)* to serve them throw our geoserver.
Our area of interest is quite important: approximately 5 french
"departments" of the "Grand Est" region/area.
We plan to do testing of raster and vector tiles. But I would first like to
validate a method for raster tiles.
Up to now now, I make tests with the *qgis Tile Generation RASTER XYZ
(Mbtiles)* tool because there is a *geoserver mbtiles plugin* to support
this format. Regarding the input data which are used as input layer for the
tiling, I mainly made tests from the WMS/WMTS basemap provided by the
french mapping agency. The tool works but the processing times are very
long, and seem very memory intensive. Moreover, since I generate the tiles
from a WMS / WMTS stream, the final result also depends on the stability of
the network (high probability of having missing tiles ...). Finally, the
mbtiles file has a quite size (5 or 6 giga for our area of interest). And
the visual result is not that great either.
I don't know if this is because they are raster tiles. Or a reason for EPSG?
It is therefore not optimal.

I am taking the liberty to ask several questions:

*A /* Qgis is a relevant tool for generating tiled files? If not, which
*tool* would be interesting (mapnik, tilemill, gdal, other? I don't know
much about these tools).

*B /* If yes, what is the *most efficient qgis tool*? QTILES plugin?
Gdal2tiles tools? Tools for generating tiles in mbtiles, XYZ, directory
structure? Or generate a Virtual Raster?

*C /* Is there an *output format *to prioritize? (mbtiles, XYZ, directory
structure? VRT ?) *with a view to being made available by geoserver?*

*D /* What would be the *recommendations* in terms of *input layers *(stream,
vector data, raster). In terms of *EPSG*?

*E / *What are the *advantages */ limitations of *vector tiles *compared to
raster tiles?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for your replies.
Indeed, thanks to CREATE UNIQUE INDEX _idx ON xxx(gid);
it's works well this times with no longer error message when loading WFS
via qgis.

2021-08-10 Thread celati Laurent
Thanks for your reply.
In your previous message, i can see indeed the line for create index.
But i can't see the line for add a primary key. Is it possible to you to
tell how do add the primary key?
Because on my side i don't succeed in adding a primary key on my materilzed
view thanks to folowing lines :

ALTER TABLE XXX
ADD CONSTRAINT XXX PRIMARY KEY (gid);

pg admin don't recognize ma view as a table.
Thanks.

[Geoserver-users] wfs : load in qgis a postgis materialized view

2021-08-10 Thread celati Laurent
Good morning,

I succeed in loading into geoserver a Postgis materialized view.
With qgis, no problem for display the data in WMS .
But the data does not display with WFS.
I paste below the log. Geoserver logs seems to deal with especially to
: "Caused
by: java.io.IOException: Cannot do natural order without a primary key,
please add it or specify a manual sort over existing attributes".
According to you, it would be the main reason explaining the issue? If yes
How to specify a manual sort order ? Or how to create a primary key on a
materialized view which might be recognized by geoserver ?
Thanks a lot.

I also thought of reach some disk space/file size limit.
Do you know how to know the space/file size limit ?
Regarding the corrupted aspects, i succeed in loading this raster mbtiles
file without problem with qgis GIS.

Re: [Geoserver-users] Problem with wfs display (postgis geometry?)

2021-08-06 Thread celati Laurent
I just load the postgis data into qgis. I run a process vector -> geometry
tools -> check the validity.
Zero geometry mistakes has been detected by the tools. The data seems to be
reliable and relevant.

You could try loading from PostgreSQL/PostGIS into QGIS and run a tool
from processing.

Processing >Vector geometry, Fix geometries.

Once fixed export and overwrite the existing data in Postgres (using QGIS
Database > Database Manager).

Or create a new table in Postgres and define a new WFS-layer in GeoServer.

If an invalid geometry is the cause I would expect these actions to fix the
problem.

>From your original post I understand that you have sufficient access to the

Thanks for your replies.
@Brad Hards  @JukkaRahkonen
 According to you, the problem could comes rather from qgis client or/and
geoserver ?
@ *Jan Tjalling van der Wal * OK, i will make a test for check geometry
aspects.
It's really strange because the data is displaying well when i load it
directly from postgis via qgis. No problem also with WMS.
This big problem appears only with WFS.
Hoping find where the issue comes from.
THanks.

[Geoserver-users] qgis : mbtiles data (geoserver) does not display

2021-07-27 Thread celati Laurent
Hello,

I succeed in geoserver to set a new mbtiles file. I can see the preview
data (openlayers view) in geoserver.
Then i try to display the data throw qgis (WMS). But the data does not
display in the canvas.

For information when i paste in a webpage the following link :

)

I have a GWC error message :

400: The requested tile dimensions 4x4 do not match those of the grid set
(256x256)

In qgis log i have an error message :

[Geoserver-users] remote WMS ressource : error message for preview data

2021-07-15 Thread celati Laurent
Good afternoon,
I succeed in setting a remote WMS data store (from french IGN ressources)
in filling the following URl in geoserver :

http://gpp3-wxs.ign.fr//geoportail/r/wms?SERVICE=WMS=1.3.0=GetCapabilities

It works and i can see several data shared by the french IGN. But when i
select one of them and i try to preview the data,
I have the following error message.

[image: image.png]

 As far as i understood, i have to do an additional action to validate,
certificate something.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Regarding WMS/WMTS side, do you know how to
set a OSM wms/wmts server ? Which URL capabilities must be filled in?
