Your previous email asked for a step-by-step guide (essentially a custom
tutorial for your specific needs), which is quite a lot to ask. It would be
more reasonable if you said what you've already looked at and tried.

For example, have you looked at the SLD cookbook in the geoserver guide?
Have you looked at
http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/styling/sld-extensions/substitution
.html ?

Have you considered drawing the circles on the client side (e.g. using
openlayers or leaflet)?

[Geoserver-users] How to have a parameter draw a circle in the map/layer?

Hi 
I am new to GeoServer but so far I have really liked it. I am able to
connect to Teradata and created several layers of map and able to pull
/display in group layer. I have 2 points that I am displaying on a layer and
it is well working. Now I want to do something creative. I want to have a
parameter somewhere on my map for user to choose from like
5mile/10mile/15mile/20mile etc.
Based on this value I want to draw a circle having radius of this
(parameter) around one of my point.
Then display all area of the polygon (main layer) that falls within that
circle. Please guide me step by step as I am new so that I don't get lost.
