I did not know the answer so I looked quickly in the code... I ended up in
this method,
by the looks of it, it seems all styles are taken into account:
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/blob/master/src/wms/src/main/java/org/geoserver/wms/capabilities/CapabilityUtil.java#L35
Two minutes check, I cannot guarantee it's the correct answer, or that it
applies to all WMS versions.
