Re: [Geotools-devel] Question regarding maven repos

2009-11-29 Thread Christian Müller
I configured like you proposed, this is a good idea.
Anyway the problem remains. I have 2 build servers, one suse 11.1 32 bit and
one ubunutu 9.10 64 Bit. Both of them hosted a tomcat6 and I deployed the
hudson war. The configurations seem to be identical, but the 32 bit Hudson
had these class path problems.

At the end, I removed tomcat6 on both virtual machines and started the
hudson.war with the init scripts. This works.

Another interesting thing is that starting hudson with OpenJDK, no geoserver
builds are possible. This is because of an SSL handshake problem.
I did not investigate further and use SUN 6 now.

I hope to have offical URLs within December. At the moment I can say that
the SUN builds work as expected, the ibm and openjdk builds have problems,
interestingly sometimes exact the same test cases.

So far, so good

Yes, you should. On the win32 hudson (which is not working due to
systematic failures we are not able to trace atm) I made maven use
two separate repositories for java5 and java6 by adding the following
 configuration:

 -gs C:/Hudson/Hudson Home With Spaces/mvn/settings-jdk5.xml

 where settings-jdk5.xml is a copy of apache-maven/conf/settings
 with an explicitly set localRepository

 Hope this helps

 Cheers

Re: [Geotools-devel] SVG support split out of renderer module

2009-11-29 Thread Michael Bedward
Hi Jody,

 - shall I backport the split to 2.6.x as well? I would break upgrades
for those that are actually using SVG

I would defer to Micheal on this one; for me the driver is the quickstart.rst
and I am not sure if he is targetting 2.6.x or trunk?

I think it would be nice to have the examples target the most recent
2.6 release, especially if there is going to be a 2.6.1 soon. It looks
better than directing people to a snapshot version for an introductory
example :)

Hi Andrea,

Very nice ! I'll definitely try out the transformations when you
commit them and provide some feedback.

Re: [Geotools-devel] Geometry transformations ready to roll

2009-11-29 Thread Jody Garnett
Really interesting results Andrea!
I cannot really evaluate this at the moment, since I am trapped on 2.6.x...

I thought your idea of a pixel() function was a good one; and note
that we can parse some SE 1.1 concepts - into the use of this
function.
