Hello all,
Im designing a new course on European environmental policy and
sustainable development intended for upper-level undergraduates and
graduate students (run as a weekly seminar series).
I would very much appreciate some suggestions on readings suitable for
that kind of class. If you teach a similar class and have a syllabus that
you want to share that would be great!
I plan on using three main texts:
Albert Weale et al. (2003) Environmental Governance in Europe.
Oxford: Oxford University Press.
Andrew Jordan (Ed.) (2005) Environmental Policy in the European Union:
Actors, Institutions and Processes. London: Earthscan. 2nd ed.
JoAnn Carmin and Stacy D. VanDeveer (Eds.) (2005) EU Enlargement and
the Environment: Institutional Change and Environmental Policy in Central
and Eastern Europe. London: Routledge.
In addition, Im specifically looking for shorter texts on the following
topics for class:
# EU climate change politics and policy
# EU and its commitment to sustainable development
# EU and packaging/waste issues
# Europe and the EU in global environmental politics
I appreciate any help. I would also be happy to send out my syllabus once
its done.
Cheers,
Henrik
