Regards, Jon Foley -- CHANGE (Certificate on Humans and the Global Environment) Graduate =20 Training Program at the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, University of =20 Wisconsin, Madison A NEW GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY THE NATIONAL SCIENCE =20 FOUNDATION University of Wisconsin faculty working on issues of vulnerability =20 and sustainability of the global environment were recently awarded an =20= IGERT (Integrative Graduate Education, Research, and Training) grant =20 from the National Science Foundation. The grant will provide two =20 years of support to a small number of exceptional Ph.D. students and =20 will establish a new graduate Certificate on Humans and the Global =20 Environment (CHANGE). The CHANGE program involves faculty members in =20 departments ranging across atmospheric and oceanic sciences, ecology, =20= environmental studies, veterinary medicine to sociology. Features of the CHANGE-IGERT =95 Provides a two year stipend, tuition, and health insurance for 3-4 =20= CHANGE Fellows each year. CHANGE Fellows are students who have been =20 admitted to a UW-Madison Ph.D. program and have separately applied to =20= receive IGERT support. Note: Only U.S. Citizens or =20 Permanent Residents can be funded as CHANGE Fellows. =95 Incorporates a graduate certificate Certificate on Humans and the =20= Global Environment (CHANGE) that can be added to any graduate degree =20 in an environmentally related discipline.
