I'm veeery sorry, I've totally missed this! This is exactly what I was asking for (and what some gimp users asked me for gimp). I tested cvs gimp with last kubuntu/debian kde desktop and it rocks! Thanks for the corrections. Any updates on this please? Plug-ins are typically developped outside CVS, so they're not in the repository. They didn't get put into the registry either, but, well, the registry sucks a bit and badly needs replacing. http://www.home.unix-ag.org/simon/gimp/soc-2006-wavelet.tgz Simon listed this tarball as the place to get the source code in the Google SoC report. > Considered he started well, is there some initial code for others to start > from? No idea. You could ask Andrey himself, or his mentor, Michael Schumacher. Any updates on this please? Since Divyanshu developed plugins that can easily live outside the core he did not commit his stuff into CVS. I'd very much welcome if he'd make his plugins available soon. Regarding the inclusion in 2.4: Maybe the jpeg2000 plugin could be included, although it relies on the not very popular obenjpeg library. The other plugins are very rough and still need tweaking, before they could be included.
