you may want to invlove yourself in development of gimp 1.4 or 2.0 if you really want to make really big changes. That's right. We won't accept any changes for Gimp-1.2 unless its an obvious bugfix and I'd even agree to declare the batchmode officially broken and release 1.2 before we do major changes to the core. Noone can stop you from releasing patches (or a patched gimp) however. Don't get me wrong: Any help is greatly appreciated and we will be very happy to incorparate your changes into the 1.3 development branch once we start it. Salut, Sven
